What to do in Easter?

Easter is really close and like each year, the beautiful city of Morelia offers multiple activities for its visitors. Here we give you some recommendations to enjoy with your whole family during Easter weekend.

Thursday April 13th
Visit the 7 temples, a walk through the most important temples of the historic center to commemorate the seven tours that Jesus did, after being betrayed by Judas. Among the temples to visit are: The Cathedral of Morelia, Saint Agustin Temple, The Crosses Temple, Saint Francis Temple, The Nuns Temple, La Merced, among others.

Friday April 14th
This day you will be able to witness the Via Crusis, a representation to remember the Passion of Christ and his suffering towards Calvary. This activity will be held in front of the Nun’s Temple from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. After this activity, head to the Plaza Valladolid where the play “Behold, the man” is presented.

If you want to taste the best dishes of the city, the most important restaurants of down town offer a special Easter menu to enjoy at lunch time with the typical delicacies of Morelia.
