Mapping: The new attraction of Morelia
Every Friday in the Temple and former convent of San Francisco, there is an activity that fascinates the visitors, a show of light and color called mapping.
If you haven’t seen this kind of projections, we invite you to delight your eyes with this activity. The mapping or video mapping consists of projecting moving images on real surfaces, in this case on the facade of the Temple of San Francisco, to obtain an artistic effect in 3D. These projections are synchronized with music, resulting in a wonderful show.
Mapping has become a very attractive activity in Morelia and in the rest of the cities where it is carried out by its interaction with the public, art, and technology. In 2016, the 2nd International Mapping Festival of Morelia was held, with great participation by the contestants and the varied public who attended to see this show. It’s certainly an activity that both young and adult people can enjoy.
If you want to see these show, we invite you every Friday to Plaza Valladolid at 9:00 p.m. This activity has no cost.
