Light show in the Cathedral of Morelia
Every Saturday night the beautiful Cathedral of Morelia gives us a completely shocking spectacle of lights, fireworks, and sound. At 8:45pm, the street lights turn off creating an expectation atmosphere among its visitors that await in complete darkness the beginning of this wonderful light show.
All of a sudden, music starts and with it, fireworks that explode to the rhythm. At the same time, a beautiful set of colored lights illuminate the pink quarry walls, as well as its virgins and archangels which seem to come alive during the show.
Families and visitors gather each Saturday to watch this show which name is “Cathedral Lights”, created by the same company that illuminated the Eiffel Tower in Paris. This beautiful spectacle is part of the various attractions that historic down town Morelia has to offer its visitors.
