One of these exciting shows in Morelia is projection mapping, located in the city center at Plaza Valladolid. Recently, the Ministry of Tourism announced that the new season of projection mapping come with a few changes. Attendees will now see high-definition sequences of monarch butterflies, the Aqueduct, the Cathedral and themes about our Holy Week celebration. These shows are all projected onto the facade of the Temple of San Francisco, one of the architectural jewels found in the heart of Morelia.

The new projection mapping season began January 26 and is scheduled to wrap up at the close of Holy Week, with screenings each Friday at 9pm.

This is not the only evening show that can be enjoyed in Morelia, just a short walk from Plaza Valladolid is the Cathedral of Morelia with its own light and sound show, including fireworks and music. This Cathedral Lights show takes place every Saturday night at 8:45pm.
